The last full moon of winter rose on Tuesday night, known as the “Worm Moon,” according to the Old Farmers Almanac.
A video shared by Save the Hellfire shows the full moon glowing over the Hellfire Trail in Dublin, Ireland Wednesday at dawn.
According to the Old Farmers Almanac, the name of the Worm Moon likely refers to the beetle larvae that emerge from the thawed bark of trees, not the ordinary earthworms that appear in spring.
The full moon of March is also known as the Lenten Moon when it arrives before the spring equinox, which is on March 20 this year.
