SpaceX launched its Transporter-6 Rideshare mission on Tuesday, sending 114 payloads into low-Earth orbit. Liftoff occurred at 9:56 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. A video shared by Jerry H. Trachtman in nearby Melbourne shows the rocket rising through the sky. In a second clip, a sonic boom can be heard as the reusable Falcon 9 first-stage booster makes its return to Earth. This was the 15th launch and landing for the Falcon 9 booster used in this mission. It previously launched GPS III-3, Turksat 5A, Transporter-2, Intelsat G-33/G-34 and 10 Starlink missions, SpaceX said. The Smallsat Rideshare Program allows customers to send small payloads into a variety of orbits, including low-Earth orbit, sun-synchronous orbit and polar orbit. Prices start at $275,000 for a 50-kg payload, according to the SpaceX website. The Transporter-6 mission ferried 114 payloads, including CubeSats, microsats, picosats, and orbital transfer vehicles carrying spacecraft to be deployed at a later time, SpaceX said.
