Tuesday’s supermoon was captured on video by astronomer Dean Regas at the Cincinnati Observatory in Ohio. June’s full moon, often called a Strawberry Moon due to its proximity to the fruit’s harvest, is the second of four supermoons this summer. During a supermoon, the full moon appears bigger and brighter than usual because it is at or near its closest point to Earth, known as perigee. Regas shared the video on Twitter, noting it was almost a supermoon. According to NASA, the supermoon reached peak fullness at 7:52 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, while the video was shot later that night.
