Zoom hit by brief outage

This week, Zoom experienced a brief outage that could have affected some of the numerous customers who have relied on it for meetings throughout the pandemic. Data from outage-tracking website Down Detector shows that tens of thousands of users reported troubles with Zoom starting a little before 11 a.m. ET on Thursday. However, by 11:30 a.m., the reports of problems had sharply decreased. The issue was discovered around 11:30 a.m. ET and fixed at 11:37 a.m. ET, according to the company’s status page. The firm reported that the brief outage had been fixed at 12:00 ET. “Everything should be working properly now! We are continuing to monitor the situation. Thank you all for your patience and our sincere apologies for the disruption,” Zoom said in a statement.
